The 'She-Hulk' Season Finale Was Disappointing Because It Betrayed The Original Premise Of The ShowShe-Hulk was one of Marvel’s best and brightest origin stories until the studio’s character development problem reared its ugly CGI head. Strong disagree, I loved the finale Having an actual storyline or plot, other than 'all men suck' might have helped.

In doing so, the entire meta portion of the finale sets up Jen’s final confrontation not with HulkKing, the season-long villain, but with the corporate entity of Marvel itself. At his retreat, she finds the former villain hosting an event for Intelligencia, the anti-She-Hulk internet group that ambushed at the Female Lawyer of the Year awards. I am playing a character named Todd. “I was incensed, and in this big meeting, in front of like 20 people, I said, ‘Kevin, if you don’t let me put a hat on that robot, then I quit,’” Gao recalls with a laugh.

After the leader of the group, Todd Phelps (Jon Bass) injects himself with a Hulk serum causing a ridiculous scrum to erupt with the Abomination, Hulk, and Titania joining the fray. In typical She-Hulk fashion, Walters breaks the fourth wall to address the messy climax by pulling the show back to the Disney+ menu and entering the "real world.

Allowing Jen to weaponize her rage from the witness stand, perhaps in a victim impact statement, would have been more than just a cathartic moment for viewers who are victims of sexual misconduct, many of whom will never get justice, or even an apology for daily harassment they experience. Return in MCU's Future?

In order to introduce new characters like the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and new plotlines like the Sokovia Accords, we’re supposed to believe he’s the kind of man perfectly comfortable keeping the truth of his friend’s parents’ murders a secret for years.

But the Steve Rogers who left the franchise bears only a superficial resemblance to the Steve Rogers who entered, and I was honestly glad to see him go while I could still appreciate America’s Ass and enjoy the caricature of the hero I used to respect.V.I. N. As each new protagonist is pushed beyond their origin stories and into the wider behemoth that is the franchise, there are inevitably fewer moments for introspection and growth, which can make each subsequent appearance feel like a screenshot of a screenshot.
