The fact that the iPhone 14, particularly the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, are selling well is not a shock.

But what may be an unpleasant surprise is that if you order now, you could be waiting for over a month to get your phone. And while the iPhone 14 Plus has only just gone on sale, it's seeing delays in some places too. If you've not placed your iPhone 14 order yet, and are wondering just when you can expect an iPhone to drop through your letterbox, we've collected the latest shipping data from Apple's own website here.

That way you can figure out when it's best to stay at home in case of delivery, or if it will make it in time for an important date like someone's birthday or your next holiday. As it stands, it looks like pretty much every version of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is now on backorder until October or early November.

It doesn't matter which color you pick, or how much storage you spec, you're going to be waiting at least a month for a new Pro iPhone, and perhaps as long as six weeks if you want the bigger iPhone 14 Pro Max variant.

You can order one now and have it arrive Monday, or even today if you live in the right area and are willing to pay extra postage. The iPhone 14 Plus is now on sale, but fortunately, even if it is new, you can still get it within a day or two. Meanwhile, the Pro models will keep you waiting up to three weeks for delivery if you buy one now.

If things don't improve soon, you'll be needing to put in your iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max orders now if you want to guarantee delivery before the holidays. You can get Pro models from other retailers much faster (see below). However, the advantage with ordering from Apple is that you can pick any storage option, any carrier and add Apple Care Plus coverage when you order, something which other retailers don't always guarantee.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Plus can also be at your door in just two days, or a maximum of five. The iPhone 14 Pro can arrive just as quickly if you buy it in Deep Purple or Gold, but the longest wait by far is for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which will arrive by the end of October or start of November. This also takes even longer if you want the most in-demand Silver or Space Black colors. You may be able to time off of the expected delivery date by speccing more storage though.

The iPhone 14 Pro could arrive as soon as today, but possibly up to five days. The Silver model takes the longest to arrive (November 9 - 23) out of all the standard 128GB versions. If you want the iPhone 14 Pro Max from T-Mobile before the holidays, you might want to hurry.

The earliest that it promises your iPhone would arrive is within three days, but that's only for the Space Black, Gold or Deep Purple versions. The Silver model will take longer. T-Mobile has multiple iPhone 14 deals, including up to $800 off with trade-in and signing up for a Magenta Max plan.

The iPhone 14 Pro has a month-long delay for the Deep Purple version, or a shorter one for Silver and Space Black. But buying the Gold one will get it to you within two days, higher storage capacity versions can reduce that wait too.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is estimated to arrive by October 28 if you buy the Gold one. The other three colors won't arrive until November, but it isn't too much extra waiting to do if you prefer a less glitzy phone. Verizon's iPhone 14 deals (opens in new tab) include saving up to $800 with you trade in your old phone with select unlimited plans.

For the iPhone 14 at Best Buy (opens in new tab) you can get any color you like within a day. As for the iPhone 14 Plus, you can get it in Product RED iPhone 14 Plus by tomorrow, Purple or Starlight by the 25th and Blue or Midnight iPhone 14 Plus by the 28th.

You can still get an iPhone 14 Pro model by tomorrow in any color, while you can order the Gold, Space Black or Deep Purple iPhone 14 Pro Max to arrive tomorrow. However, Silver will take another week.

iPhone 14 delivery date is it worth the wait
We like all three of the iPhone 14 models we've reviewed so far, although in slightly different ways. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models are definitely the ones to get if you can afford them, because they feature all of Apple's latest upgrades like an always-on display, Dynamic Island cutout and a 48MP main camera. The iPhone 14 is more like an improved iPhone 13 rather than a whole new phone, but is still worth an upgrade if your current phone's a couple of years old.
