If your Fitbit has been in storage for a while or subjected to a lot of dust, dirt, or grime, the charging contacts on the underside of the device might be too dirty to charge, preventing the device from turning on. Make sure to clean the Fitbit's charging contacts as well as the pins on the charging cable. Cleaning the Fitbit's band may not help the device charge, but it will keep it looking like new.
