The clamp supports desks up to 2.36 inches thick.&nbsp;Tightening and loosening the clamp is made easier thanks to the large plastic screw on the bottom. The upper arm can rotate up to 175 degrees, but the bottom only up to 70 degrees. Even with the screw in place, the swing arm lamp felt flimsy while making adjustments. It never fell out of the clamp but always felt much looser than we would have liked.
