Google Meet s Tile View Explained
As you can see in the official Google tweet, the demo meeting has 14 people in it and the tile view mode shows up to eight people at once. There's a small notification in the bottom-right telling you the number of people that aren't shown on your current screen. Each person's tile has their name in it at the bottom-left.
When someone is speaking, the border around their tile turns blue and a speaker icon appears in their tile. This lets you quickly find out who's speaking.
