With the C8 being relatively new to the scene, there hasn&#39;t been a lot of time to develop crazy body kits, and besides a sprinkling of widebody kits, the aftermarket is still gearing itself up to deliver a wide range of new styling parts. A company called Xeigen plans to shape the way other aftermarket styling companies approach the C8, with a widebody kit that takes its inspiration from John Greenwood&#39;s Corvette C3 race cars that used to tear up the track in the 1970s.

The front-end of the design is dominated by a wide splitter, and the aggressive inlets below the headlights add some race-car appeal. The hood looks like something out of a 70s drag racing catalog and we can clearly see the C3 race-car&#39;s DNA pulling through here.

From the back, this thing looks nasty: it&#39;s clear to see that there&#39;s a roof-mounted intake that in theory should lead down to the engine bay, and there&#39;s a massive wing that has been mounted between the taillights. To top it all off, Xeigen has included a version of the design that features the classic Stars &amp; Stripes livery, which is a further tribute to Corvette race cars of the 70s. It is one of the more unique designs we've seen for the C8, and we do hope that these renderings become reality.
