It is defined as: "A malicious attempt to disrupt the normal traffic of a targeted server, service or network by overwhelming the target or its surrounding infrastructure with a flood of Internet traffic." In the case of Overwatch 2, the perpetrators are targeting the new servers of the new game and trying to overflow them with traffic.
