When Mercedes lifted the veil off the new AMG GT R Pro at the LA Auto Show last week, it said the new track-tuned, racing-striped sports car could hustle around the Nürburgring Nordschleife in just 7:04.632, cutting over five seconds off the existing GT R's lap time.

But now it&#39;s released video footage to back up its claim, and boy does it look smooth – which, as anyone who&#39;s ever driven on track could tell you, means "fast." They&#39;re still said to be working on an even more extreme Black Series version, and the forthcoming AMG One hypercar promises to blow the doors off not just everything that&#39;s ever worn the Silver Star before, but anything the industry has ever produced. And we&#39;re looking forward to seeing what those two highly anticipated new performance machines will be able to do in the right hands at the Green Hell as well.
