While the app has always "been" in Dark Mode as a default, this new update will allow you to toggle between both Light and Dark Mode.

This comes a few months after the , as well as allowing you to copy and paste your Switch code. To do this, all you need to do is go into Settings and select Dark Mode, where you'll be given the option to turn it on, off, or let the app match your phone's settings.

Understandable. I still haven't really used this app, but the fact that nintendo is at least spending time updating it gives me hope that at least they're aware their apps need work I thought light mode was obsolete since the invention of dark mode If you don't want to use Nintendo's "official" way of using voice chat, or not interested in the game-specific services, it's not worth your phone's storage space. The band!

I can't wait until the day Nintendo announces they're finally going to give us a new theme, only for it to be Basic Grey. I've used the app for splatoon to see other people's setups after a match, or to see if any customized gear was being sold.

(sometimes they offer gear with different ability options. Like, the striped Tshirt is sold in game with Swim Speed, but in the app, they sold it with Ink Saver(sub).) nintendo knows what we like, a reason to bash the nso app seems like an unneeded extra step. If it was built in the Switch/games itself then I'd for sure use voice chat.

Splatoon 2 did a good job of this with the store having exclusive gear. But honestly, nothing in the Nintendo app beats what we were able to do with Dreamcast VMU cards. That was the perfect use of "playing while away from the game" and I'm surprised it still hasn't been achieved since.

As usual Nintendo are making innovative leaps and bounds with their online service.
They might have started paying attention to the app because of Splatoon 3, though i wish games out of house was supported like monster hunter. Oh nice, now it’s your turn Nintendo Life, give us Dark Mode, please!
I avoid visiting this website at night because of this. How about they just focus on making the eshop a pleasurable and smooth experience?

This is the only thing that is completely rubbish this generation, the way Nintendo designed the online interaction. I still think this should have been part of the Switch OS, instead of an app.

There are browser extensions you can use to transform the (any) site into a dark mode. As one of the 15 people on earth that use light mode, I feel heard. Soooo… When is Nintendo Life, Push Square and Pure Xbox getting a dark mode?
