Along with the Ford Bronco, the Land Rover Defender is one of the most hotly anticipated upcoming models. As with the Bronco, the Defender is expected to spawn a &quot;baby model&quot;, but not until at least 2026. The full-size Defender, which was previously expected to arrive in 2020, will be a much larger and more luxurious SUV meant to dethrone the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

While we were initially expecting the Defender to be revealed in 2020, a new teaser from Land Rover indicates that our wait will actually be much shorter. Jaguar Land Rover Land Rover Land Rover On its Facebook page, Land Rover posted a single image of a camouflaged Defender driving off a delivery truck. The only caption given was &quot;Do not unwrap until 2019.&quot; Land Rover also sent out a notice saying we would find out more details on December 27, which is only a few days away.

Land Rover Land Rover There are still many details about the new Defender we do not know, such as if it will be available in the US. The last Defender that Land Rover imported was the 1997 model, so it has been a while since we&#39;ve been able to enjoy one here in the states.

We do have some good news on this subject because the teaser was shared by Land Rover&#39;s US media team. This new model is expected to be far more advanced, ditching its old-fashioned suspension in favor of an independent setup.
