It's difficult to think of a car that has been more hotly anticipated than Porsche's first EV, the Taycan. Originally referred to as the Mission E, Porsche later revealed the Taycan name for the production version as well as some other details about the car. We've even seen a lucky few get behind the wheel of a prototype version of the car, but what we haven't seen is a good look at the production interior. Thanks to these images posted by a couple of dudes on Facebook, but which have since been removed, we now have our first good look at the Taycan's interior. These prototype cars were reportedly spotted testing in New Zealand, though we don't know how the two were able to get such private access to the cars.

The most noticeable detail is the fully digital instrument panel, a first for Porsche. Most recent Porsche models have used either a five or three dial gauge cluster in the past, but the Taycan will move the company into the future with an all-digital display.

Some purists may balk at this idea, but those are the same people who balked when the Porsche stopped building air-cooled engines. From what we can see, the Taycan will easily be one of the best EVs on sale when it finally arrives. Porsche Porsche
