Its 2.4-liter inline-six engine made a potent 153 horsepower back in 1973 and it could hit 60 mph in 8 seconds. Riveting stuff 45-years ago but those sorts of numbers are eclipsed by entry-level sedans these days, so it was only fitting that this 240Z, listed on Bring-A-Trailer, has been fitted with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate motor and Tremec T-56 six-speed manual gearbox. These engines make at least 436 hp out of the box so this particular &#39;70s classic can once again hold its head high against modern machinery.

Now, power is nothing without control so money was also spent on upgrading the suspension, wheels and brakes to ensure that the car will go more or less where you point it. It also has adjustable camber plates, shortened Eibach springs and four-piston calipers up front.

The exterior puts one in mind of a Japanese-style Mad Max conversion with its deep front spoiler, rear wing and widened arches. It all suits the car very nicely and while most of these modifications were carried out in 2010, a carbon fiber hood is a more recent addition. The interior is a bit rough though.

There are a few tears on the seats and some exposed wires in the center console, but the door cards and carpets have been replaced and not a whole lot would need to be done to get it looking sharp. The engine install looks properly done and even features a retro-fitted (and working) air-conditioning system.
