Could be a misunderstanding on my part, but also the BP rules may have changed. But yeah, I mostly downvote the scammers with their "earn thousands of dollars" webscams, and a few nasty trolls when I can. I'm not going to downvote random comments that I don't agree with or like.

Maybe I don't agree with you, but unless you are a spam spreading scammer or a nasty, racist, xenophobe troll you are entitled to have your own opinion, even if it is something most people don't agree with.
