Der Autor vergleicht verschiedene Ansätze aus der Kognitiven Psychologie, der Künstlichen Intelligenz und der Analytischen Philosophie und überprüft experimentell, inwieweit die Theorie Bayesscher Netze geeignet ist, Urteilsrevisionen in einer alltagsnahen Domäne zu modellieren. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, daß diese Theorie gute Vorhersagen von Urteilsdaten über ein weites Spektrum von Situationen liefert.
