Those familiar with his previous kit will likely be able to quickly adapt to Doomfist&#8217;s reworked abilities. On the other hand, new players should have a solid understanding of this character&#8217;s mechanics before they attempt to use him in PvP.

To enhance the Rocket Punch&#8217;s power, players can charge the ability by blocking enemy attacks using Doomfist&#8217;s Power Block. This defensive skill blocks 80% of oncoming frontal damage for 2 seconds. When Doomfist is not being used to clobber enemies in Overwatch 2, players should constantly be applying damage and pressure with their Hand Cannon, this Hero&#8217;s only ranged attack.

While it might be tempting to use this as an initiator for fights, YouTube content creator Dunmuir suggests using Rocket Punch or Seismic Slam as a gap closer, then transitioning to Meteor Strike once enemies have spent their abilities to avoid being hit. However, ensure that at least one of the abilities is on cooldown to chase down a wounded opponent or escape a counterattack.
