As implied, Gleamium is used to unlock characters, buy costumes, and purchase the Premium Battle Pass, which costs 300 Gleamium. But while you can use the currency within the game, there are limitations.

For instance, you cannot use it to purchase perks or level-up characters. Gold and Gleamium are your most valuable assets in the game, and if you want to enjoy it to the fullest, you have to acquire lots of them.

You are probably wondering why you have to spend your hard-earned money on costumes and characters. The reason is simple: MultiVersus is Warner Bros’ answer to other franchise-extending games like Marvel Avengers or Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. As for now, there are sixteen playable characters ranging from Game of Thrones — Arya Stark — to DC superheroes and all the way to Tom and Jerry.
