It first appeared in Mortal Kombat 2, and would see programmer Dan "Toasty!" Forden's head appear on the bottom-right corner of the screen accompanied by a falsetto voice bellowing "Toasty!" In Mortal Kombat 2, you'd get "Toasty!" sometimes after nailing an uppercut.

Easter egg, which can only be triggered on the Tournament stage, this second one can be triggered on any stage. Get it right and you'll get this: Unfortunately, you don't see the word "Toasty!" on-screen Mortal Kombat 11's Scorpion "Toasty!" Easter egg, as you did in Mortal Kombat 2, but you do hear the audio.
