The U.K. supercar company has just reached an impressive milestone: its 15,000th car, a 570S Spider in Curacao Blue, after just seven years of production. All the more impressive is this production count comes less than 18 months after the 10,000th car rolled off the production line at the McLaren Production Center in Woking.

McLaren McLaren points out the recent rapid production increase was due, in part, to the launching a second production shift in 2016 in order to meet rapidly increasing global demand. That has allowed for double the production amount, from 10 to 20 cars daily.

Furthermore, some 90 percent of the cars are exported to more than 30 countries. This is all very impressive considering McLaren Automotive (separate from the racing division) was founded only in 2010.

The production center opened the following year, at which time the 12C Coupe (originally called MP4-12C) launched. In 2012 the spider variant arrived, and in 2013 came the P1 hybrid hypercar. The 650S, a heavily re-worked 12C debuted in 2014, but it was in 2015 when things really got cooking.

Last year the 720S, 570S Spider and Senna all came to life, and later this year a new facility that&#39;ll produce carbon fiber chassis will open in Sheffield. Obviously McLaren isn&#39;t slowing down, with the BP23 coming soon and an all-electric hypercar further down the line.
