The Lamborghini Huracan has been the base for many successful GT-class racers, but Lamborghini has now announced that it&#39;s ready to take the next step in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship by developing its own Le Mans Daytona hybrid car (LMDh). The new Lambo LMDH will compete under the FIA&#39;s Hypercar class and the IMSA&#39;s GTP class in 2024.

The Lamborghini Huracan has been the base for many successful GT-class racers, but Lamborghini has now announced that it's ready to take the next step in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship by developing its own Le Mans Daytona hybrid car (LMDh). The new Lambo LMDH will compete under the FIA's Hypercar class and the IMSA's GTP class in 2024.

Over the last seven years, the Italian supercar builder has accumulated more than 40 titles, including three consecutive wins in the GT Daytona class at the 24 Hours at Daytona between 2018 and 2020 - a feat that is yet to be matched by any other manufacturer. With the introduction of an LMDh car, Lamborghini will be able to compete for overall victories in the famous 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours at Daytona, and the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it will face stiff competition from other LMDh competitors such as Porsche.
