Areas of clinical interest include: Diagnosis and molecular testing of lung cancer and other lung, pleural and mediastinal tumors Pediatric pulmonary pathology Interstitial lung disease Areas of research interest include: Sarcomas and mesenchymal neoplasms of the lung and thorax Lung cancer and other lung tumors Dr. Boland has thus far published over 70 peer-reviewed articles and 18 book chapters in these areas. She coauthored several chapters in the newest WHO "blue books", covering topics in the lung/mediastinal sections as well as classification of soft tissue tumors.
