Liver Transplant for Biliary Atresia Alicia&#39 s Story Alicia was diagnosed with biliary atresia when she was 3 weeks old. Her family flew from Nairobi to Baltimore to get Alicia additional care and ultimately a liver transplant at Johns Hopkins Children's Center.
