The new title was initially announced in 2019. Fans will experience a “re-imagining” of the franchise with a modern take on the shooter genre. To do this, AntiMatter Games unveiled the first gameplay trailer for IGI: Origins that blends risky stealth with clean cinematics.
The Cold War is Still Brewing Trouble in IGI Origins
This new title will explore the IGI (Institute for Global Intelligence) and its beginnings. You play as Michael King, a SAS-turned MI6 agent sent on missions to infiltrate the enemy in their own ways.

Be ready for war when you take a peek into the official footage. Rich Barham, Game Director of AntiMatter Games, commented on the release of the footage by saying: We know that the community have been eagerly awaiting a first glimpse of what lies in store, and we’re excited to share the first brief showing of what we’ve all been working so hard on. Development is continuing at a good pace, and we’re looking forward to unveiling more details as we get closer to release.” For the uninformed, IGI: Origins is evidently the prequel title to 2000’s Project I.G.I, which was followed up with 2003’s I.G.I.-2: Covert Strike.
