The Cast icon should change to solid white when connected and your TV should show the message indicating it's ready to cast. A smart TV’s name will likely just be a series of letters and numbers while a Chromecast dongle will be named "Chromecast." Tap a Twitch stream within the Twitch app to have it automatically play on your TV.

Use the Twitch TV app: If your smart TV has support for apps, it may in fact have a Twitch app that can be used to log in and view broadcasts much like the Netflix and Disney+ TV apps. Check your Blu-ray player: Many modern Blu-ray and DVD players come with apps for streaming content and yours may have a Twitch TV app installed.

Use a smart TV web browser: Many TVs, media boxes, and video game consoles have a web browser app which can be used to watch livestreams via the Twitch website. Use an HDMI cable: If all else fails, you can always project your device’s screen to your TV by using an HDMI cable. You may need some additional adapters or dongles depending on your device but it’s a very reliable method if you have the equipment.
