Your watch automatically syncs with the Fitbit app on your phone or tablet. Your watch and your phone must use the same Wi-Fi network for the setup and syncing process. You need to enter some personal details and agree to the Terms of Service, then put your Versa onto the charging cradle to complete the device setup.

What Do the Buttons on a Fitbit Versa Do
Once your Fitbit Versa is set up, and you're sure you're wearing it right, then you can start using it. If you're using a Fitbit Vera, there are three buttons on the device—one on the left and two on the right. The left button is the Back button.
When you long-press this, it opens the Quick Settings where you can control your music, among other things. The buttons on the right control apps. By default, a quick press of the top right button controls the top-left app on the first app screen. A long-press opens your notifications. The bottom right button opens the app located on the bottom left of the first app screen.
To change which apps either of these buttons access, rearrange the apps on your first app page. There's only one button on the Fitbit Versa 2. This is the Back button, and a short press takes you to the previous screen.
