Built at the end of the nineteenth century, this stunning hotel, perched on the top of a cliff, offers incredible views not only of the Amalfi Bay but also the town itself, which is just a fifteen minute walk away. There are also two bar areas with outdoor terraces where you can make your way through the extensive cocktail menu (just keep a safe distance from the terrace edge if you’ve made it to the second page!).

Hotel highlights Every part of this hotel feels luxurious and I can’t imagine a better view. Whether it be the sunshine bouncing off the water during the day or the twinkling lights of the dock in Amalfi at night, I could have gazed out from my balcony for hours on end. What to do nearby A walking tour of Amalfi town is a relaxed and informative way to spend a couple of hours and learn what makes the locals so proud of their hometown.

This sense of pride seems to be a common feeling when meeting people in Amalfi and certainly radiated from the local, family-run winery, Marisa Cuomo. I would thoroughly recommend the tour and tasting. Although it’s only a short walk to Amalfi town, the hotel also offers a shuttle service to the centre, from where you can get a bus to neighbouring towns or the ferry to Sorrento, Capri and Salerno.
