While the Tau V8 will be discontinued after the previous G80 and current G90 go out of production, it will spawn a successor. According to a leaked document obtained by AutoDaum, Genesis is working on a more powerful version of the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 to replace the Tau V8.

Since the 365-hp version of Genesis&#39; 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 was already as quick as the Tau V8 in a straight line, we have no doubt this new V6 will be even faster. While it won&#39;t be nearly as potent as the RS7, M5, or E63, the G80 Sport will offer the healthy bump in performance we&#39;ve been wanting from Genesis.
