I used go lead worship and wrote a few congregational worship songs and never intended to record a “worship album” but during the last year I started thinking about creativity and worship again and it just kind of happened.

All the songs included have been important to me in my faith and some continue to be important to me.

Some of the songs I have written, some are well known, some are lesser known . Some of the songs are not conventional worship songs but they are important to me because they are honest and feel to me like heart felt cries out to God, and I think honesty in worship is important.

The title "Of The Heart" is something I took from from teaching on the Jesus Prayer which is described as being prayer of the heart. This prayer itself bookends the album and the songs between are also songs that I feel are in my heart.

I hope the songs are encouraging to you in some way.
