Eligible customers can get discounts for the billing months of May, June, July, August and September.
In most cases, electric customers who are currently receiving Medicaid or food stamps are automatically enrolled in the program, yet some qualified residents fall through the cracks. Texans who are not in one of those programs can still qualify for assistance if their annual household income does not exceed $13,538 for an individual or $18,213 for a couple.
