On the opposite end of the spectrum, it’s now in manufacturers’ best interest to start researching technologies that will afford batteries with better longevity for the hybrids and EVs of the future. The truck has also been equipped with 350 kW DC fast charging capability, meaning 100 miles (161 km) of range can be added in as little as 10 minutes.

While we are already there to a degree with better battery technology in the industry than we’ve ever had before, these stories will hopefully serve as a warning to automakers in the years to come as we head into an age of electrification. The incorrect fasteners were introduced into vehicle production on January 13 and no longer used after May 18. There’s no word on pricing, but many of the truck’s most notable features will be optional.
