Namely, the unlock challenge requirements were bonkers. Following fan outrage, though, Sledgehammer Games has announced that all players will be given the Trophy System Field Upgrade free of charge, meaning they won't have to complete any challenges.

Before this revelation, the Trophy System Field Upgrade unlock challenge required players to "survive 15 different matches without being killed by a grenade", according to the in-game menus. You don't need to be a pro player to know that this would be a lot harder than it should be – near-impossible, in fact. So, as you can imagine, players were a little peeved at having to dodge grenades for at least 15 matches to unlock something that would then protect them from grenades.
