Earlier in the year, Microsoft started the process of acquiring Activision Blizzard, with the deal expected to be finalised sometime in 2023. After all, Call of Duty is already a cross-platform game and is a massive moneymaker for Activision. So, it makes little sense, at least financially to restrict Call of Duty to one console brand.ADVERT ADVERT Prior to the pending acquisition, in recent years PlayStation has had timed-exclusive rights to alpha and beta tests, as well as certain game modes. Which is in contrast to the Xbox 360 era when Microsoft had timed-exclusive rights on DLC for the likes of the original Modern Warfare 2.

However, CharlieINTEL has proven to be very reliable in the past with leaked information.ADVERT ADVERT Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the follow-up to the 2019 reboot.
