My longtime business partner, Dany Garcia, she has been a big advocate for Henry. If you don’t remember, Superman does appear, but it’s from the neck down, so you have no idea who is in the suit, and I cannot express how frustrating it was for Cavill fans like me. He establishes himself as an unstoppable god among mortals.

And if we do our job right, at the end of the movie, then in comes not only the most powerful and unstoppable force in the entire universe in Superman, but also the one that the fans want. The two superheroes have an intense stare-down before the movie fades to black, with the biggest question of all being if, and when, we’ll see these two together again on the big screen. And if that does happen, will it be a team-up of one of DC’s biggest superheroes and darkest anti-heroes, or will it be what many fans want from these two: the ultimate superhero movie fight. And that's the new era I'm talking about.

He was never given a proper sequel to his first film, 2013’s “Man of Steel. We listen to the fans.” Instead, he went straight into a battle against Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight in 2016’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and then teamed up with Batfleck in the much maligned 2017 film “Justice League.” For a time after that, it seemed as if Cavill had said goodbye to the character. But we're going to listen to them, man.

A heavyweight matchup between Cavill’s Superman and Johnson’s Black Adam might just be too juicy a scenario for Warner Bros. Man, when it comes to Superman, I don't know if there's any other person on the planet who loves and embodies the mythology, the ethos, and everything of Superman than Henry. and DC to ignore — and might help DC in its struggle for relevance.

Given how rushed the formation of the Justice League was under Zack Snyder, perhaps the best approach would be to give Cavill his time to shine first on film and then bring him back for a matchup in a potential “Black Adam” sequel. I'm so happy the fans are losing their minds over it." As he says, it was the new leadership at WB that gave the greenlight to have Cavill return as Superman, which makes it sound like it was the previous regime at WB/DC that prevented it from happening sooner. Johnson’s Black Adam has also yet to share the screen with Zachary Levi’s Shazam , who is Black Adam’s biggest rival in the comics.

A lesser star in the role of Black Adam might have already appeared in the Shazam movie franchise, but there was no way Johnson was going to play second fiddle in anyone’s superhero movie after waiting so long to bring Black Adam to the screen. And Superman is back.

A Black Adam/Superman spectacle would likely be preferred over Black Adam/Shazam by fans and perhaps by Warner Bros. Black Adam was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and also stars Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo and Quintessa Swindell.

The context of the scene we won't get into here but the return of the Man of Steel star to the iconic blue and red costume is something fans have been clamoring for, and a moment that has been years in the making for the producers of the Black Adam movie.
