"He came and kind of hugged me and said something like, ‘We better win today because I spent all my money on the tickets,'" Altuve said in the clubhouse shortly after the Astros beat the Yankees 3-2 in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series. Although the moment — a fan running in from right field as Astros closer Ryan Pressly entered the game and getting close enough to the Astros star player to give him a hug and even appear to try to pick him up — looked scary, Altuve said he knew he was fine. Justin Verlander bounced back from his miserable Game 1 performance in the ALDS to throw six innings allowing just one run on three hits and striking out 11.

"I saw he was wearing an Astros jersey and I was like, ‘OK, I’m fine,' Altuve said. We warm up to the mid-80s Friday with the humidity making a return. Not only was Altuve not scared in the moment, he reciprocated the fan's hug and was prepared to take a picture with him.
