Last February, we learned that the race-going version of the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar was being postponed due to the merging of the hypercar class with the LMDh prototype category in the World Endurance Championship. However, development of the road-going version was continuing as planned with the UK sports car company teasing the car during its final development stage on public roads in March.<br> But this was before the coronavirus pandemic struck, Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll&#39;s $657 million investment that saw him also become Executive Chairman, and the replacement of Dr. Andy Palmer as CEO with now-former Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers.

Remember, this is merely a rumor and Aston Martin hasn&#39;t confirmed anything at this time. But the source also hinted there&#39;s another option which hasn&#39;t been ruled out: tossing the entire Valkyrie project into the bin and focus on producing the DBX instead.
