Italy has been hit tragically hard by the pandemic and Ferrari has been doing its part to help citizens such as converting snorkel masks into respirators. A production restart date for its regular supercar lineup has already been delayed more than once but now things appear to be slowly getting back to semi-normal.

Ferrari Ferrari Ferrari As previously reported, this voluntary program offers coronavirus screening by taking blood samples to make sure they're virus-free. Employees will also have access to a new app that'll alert them if they've been in close contact with anyone infected with Covid-19.
The app also obeys specific privacy laws. Not surprisingly, the latest reports indicate employees have responded to this offer in huge numbers. Ferrari now claims 500 out of 4,000 of its factory workers have already taken the test and it's capable of testing up to 800 people per day.
"This screening will allow us to take an initial picture of the health status of the tested company's population," said Ferrari's head of human resources Michele Antoniazzi. For employees who test positive, Ferrari will provide them and their families with special insurance.

Needless to say, Ferrari's testing and production restart efforts are being closely watched by other automakers and European countries. Given the rate Ferrari has been testing its employees and the health and psychological assurance it proves them, there's a strong likelihood Ferrari will be up and running again sometime next month.
