The weekly (and now annual) Clap for our Carers was a beautiful, nationwide gesture, but how can we say thank you in a more tangible way? Together For Healthcare Heroes is a new EU-wide initiative on a mission to do just that, by providing 10,000 free luxury holidays to healthcare workers in hospitals across the NHS and the EU in 2021.

Together For Healthcare Heroes The charity initiative’s aim is to find at least 1000 best of class accommodation providers in European holiday destinations who will give their accommodation to the family of a European healthcare worker totally free of charge for one week during April, May or October in 2021, with 500 of those accommodations hoped to be in Ibiza. Many property owners have already donated their homes, luxury hotel groups have gifted rooms and flights are being paid for directly through the fundraising activity and sponsorship, for the purpose of giving thanks to those on the front line of the pandemic crisis. They hope to be able to offer at least 5000 European Healthcare Heroes and their loved ones a free one-week holiday stay (that’s a total of 10,000 guests) next year. An Ibiza-born initiative, holidays are being sought not just in Ibiza but across the whole of Europe, with destinations including Formentera, Mykonos, the Greek Isles, Sardinia, Sicily, Corsica, the Algarve, south of France, UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, the Swiss and French Alps and cities like London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich and Zurich.
