For 2021, Land Rover has updated the Discovery Sport with new engine options, updated interior technology, and a new special edition. Following the launch of the new Discovery Sport P300e plug-in hybrid earlier this year, the 2021 Land Rover Discovery Sport is available with a four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine featuring 48-volt mild-hybrid technology and regenerative braking for &quot;smoother stop-start operation and optimized fuel economy&quot;.

Replacing the previous non-electrified diesel engines, the new, more efficient mild-hybrid diesel unit is available with 162 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque or 197 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, and has a fuel economy rating of 44.7 mpg. Land Rover Land Rover Land Rover Paired with an automatic eight-speed transmission, this setup enables the 197-hp Discovery Sport to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 8.6 seconds. US engine options haven&#39;t been confirmed yet, however.
